the Visual Postural Phoria Test (VPPT) was created to evaluate, in a visual-postural environment, the presence and quantification of heterophoria in its horizontal, vertical and torsional components at distance - constructed for use at 3 meters to facilitate the assessment of the tonic state of the eye muscles in the absence of fusional reflex. VPPT is one of the visual-postural tests included in the Minimum Integrated Protocol (MIP) which contains a series of standardized postural tests - this test can also be used for the evaluation of phoria at distance in the series of visual/non-visual postural tests - including Flipper with Maddox lenses and manual. Use the Visual Postural Phoria Test allows to have an useful instrument with which you can communicate with other specialist of the posture, because it is already used in their clinical practice.
